It’s Not All About the Ring
More and more people are using phones, especially with the introduction of cheap mobile phones and having them available to youngsters. 15 years ago we wouldn’t have seen children with these devices as the expense and the rarity of them was keeping them out of their pockets and more with an older crowd. Now, along with social networking we are getting an even better use for the mobile device.
What About the Ring?
With the rise of social media are we starting to hear less ring and more beep, beep? Do we believe that the phone will actually be a thing of the past and that devices will be adapted to run pure internet ‘social media’ devices or we still be hearing the ring ring from peoples phones?
Well we cannot deny that social media is a big giant in terms of communications nowadays, however it is more of a IM (Instant Messaging) type of communication rather than a voice communication and that fundamental difference is why we will still here the ring ring of phones for years to come or at least until the conventional voice communication method is replaced, but could you really imagine a world without being able to buy a London phone number or a New York phone number and having to talk to people via IM social media chat?
